B.Sc Nursing Programme (4 Years)

The aim of the undergraduate nursing program is to:

Prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as professional, competent nurses and midwives at basic level in providing promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services.

Prepare nurses who can make independent decisions in nursing situations, protect the rights of, and facilitate individuals and groups in pursuit of health, function in the hospital, community nursing services and conduct research studies in the areas of nursing practice. They are also expected to assume the role of teacher, supervisor and manager in a clinical / public health setting.

Course Description:

The programme is of 4 years including classroom learning and practical sessions. The university examination will be held annually. The students will receive adequate clinical exposure under the guidance of faculty in various clinical and community settings.

Annual Intake: 100 Seats

Eligibility

 The candidates must be minimum 17 years of age on 31 December of admission year. The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years.

 The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) from BSEB, or any other Board or Council or University equivalent thereof.

 The candidates passed 10+2 examination in Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology), conducted by National Institute of Open School are also eligible to apply.

 The candidates must have passed in the subject of PCB & English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination i.e. (10+2). In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, the marks obtained in PCB taken together in qualifying examination shall be 40%. English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. Nursing Course.

 Both female & male candidates are eligible to apply. (60% of total seats are reserved for female candidates.)

General Nursing and Midwifery (3 Years)

The aims of the Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery programme are:

To prepare nurses with a sound educational programme in nursing to enable them to function as efficient members of the health team, beginning with the competencies for first level positions in all kinds of health care settings.

To help nurses develop an ability to co-operate and co-ordinate with members of the health team in the prevention of disease, promotion of health and rehabilitation of the sick.

To help nurses in their personal and professional development, so that they are able to make maximum contribution to the society as useful and productive individuals, citizens as well as efficient nurses.

To serve as a base for further professional education and specialization in nursing.

To prepare nurses to keep pace with latest professional and technological developments and use these for providing nursing care service.

Course Description:

3 years G.N.M Degree Course (including internship) being run in the college(s)/institution(s) are affiliated to the BNRC, Patna, Bihar.

Annual Intake: 100 Seats

Eligibility

  •  The candidates must be minimum 17 years of age on 31December of admission year. The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years.
  •  The candidates must have passed 10+2 with 40% marks from BSEB or equivalent thereof, however science is preferable.
  • 10 +2/ 12th with 40% marks from state open schools recognized by state Govt. and National Institute of Open School recognized by Central Govt.
  • 10+2 vocational ANM course with 40% marks from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
  • 10 +2 Health Science vocational stream from a recognized CBSE Board/ State/ Center. Or Registered ANM with 10+2 pass.
  •  5% of total mark is relaxed for SC/ ST candidates
  •  Both female & male candidates can apply (60% of total seats are reserved for female candidates).

Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (2 Years)

The aims of the Diploma in General Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery programme are:

ANM stands for Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery it is a diploma course which focus on the study of health care of various individuals. It also taught about how to take care of equipment, setting up of Operation Theater, provide medication timely to patient and maintain records.

ANM course trains the students & make them capable to work as basic health workers. ANM graduates main focus is given towards the treatment of children, women & old age people.

The ANM course is practically a diploma programme which allows non-science students to pursue a career in nurse practitioner. However, a GNM course is designed to enrol students who have science background or have cleared 2 year ANM course.

Course Description:

2 years A.N.M Degree Course (including internship) being run in the college(s)/institution(s) are affiliated to the BNRC, Patna, Bihar.

Annual Intake: 100 Seats

Eligibility

 The candidates must be minimum 17 years of age on 31December of admission year. The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years.

 The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with any stream from BSEB, or any other Board or Council or University equivalent thereof.

 The candidates passed 10+2 examination in any steam, conducted by National Institute of Open School are also eligible to apply.

 Candidates Shall be medically fit for the course (Medical certificate format in annexure -V).

 Only female candidates are eligible to apply.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharma) – Course Details
